May 14, 2024 · Florida Historical Map Collection (University of Florida) provides a searchable database to identify maps of Florida dating from the early 1500s to 1926. "You can search this database for cartographers, major place names (e.g., Pensacola, Tampa Bay, Key West) and other keywords. You can also limit your search with a date range."
This collection consists of over 300 maps from the holdings of the State Library and Archives of Florida. The maps date from the 16th century to the 20th century, and include: Township maps, including maps showing the progress of the original government surveys. Highway and railroad maps. Maps showing the state's geological features.

The Florida Historical Map Collection is one of the treasures of the P.K. Yonge Library of Florida History and contains more than 2300 renderings of Florida dating from the mid-1500s to the twentieth century. The earliest original printed map in the collection is Girolamo Ruscelli’s Nueva hispania tabula nova, [Venice, 1561].
