Goal: The middle school Earth Science course is designed to give all students an overview of common strands in Earth Sciences including: Geology, Hydrology, Meteorology, and Astronomy. This course is aligned with the Georgia Performance Standards.
This will be achieved by providing students with an overview of common strands in earth science including Geology (40%) Hydrology & Meteorology (40%) and Astronomy (20%). Earth Science is taught in 9 units that are aligned with the district’s scope and sequence. However, the length of a unit may be adjusted based upon the needs of the class.
