After many years of waiting and preparing, Jean was ordained in 2001. After becoming the Rector of Mount Olivet Church, where she served for 10 years, Jean quit teaching to concentrate on her long-awaited ministry. She and her husband, Louis Koerner, are very active in French cultural and historical societies in Louisiana.
