Nov 8, 2020 · Alex Trebek, 1940 - 2020. Jeopardy! is saddened to share that Alex Trebek passed away peacefully at home early Sunday morning, surrounded by family and friends. He was 80 years old. Alex was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in March 2019, and he continued to host Jeopardy! for the next 18 months.
