Jon Ewbank Manchip White (22 June 1924 – July 31, 2013) was the Welsh American author of more than thirty books of non-fiction and fiction, including The Last Race, Nightclimber, Death By Dreaming, Solo Goya, and his final novel, Rawlins White: Patriot to Heaven, published in 2011.

Jon Manchip White was a distinguished Welsh-American writer who published over 35 books of fiction, non-fiction and poetry over a long writing career. His works of fiction include both novels, collections of short stories and many scripts for film and television.
The shorter works assembled in Whistling Past the Churchyard: Strange Tales from a Superstitious Welshman (coll 1992) and Echoes and Shadows (coll 2003) are mostly supernatural, and usually set in White's native Wales.
