    Season 1

•Marine Major Carl Pritchard was shown to have been poisoned by Coastal Taipan venom; as the toxin had been identified and he was in the company of medical personnel, it is possible that he was saved. His death was not confirmed. (Yankee White) •Agent Caitlin Todd noted that one of the two potential threats to Gunnery Sergeant Freddy Alvarez was a Marine who had threatened to "cut [the sergeant's] head off." This Marine, however, was revealed shortly after to have been killed in action in Iraq six months prior to Alvarez's murder. (One Shot, One Kill) •During a hallucinatory incident while serving in the Middle East, Colonel Will Ryan throws a knife at one of two soldiers holding him at gunpoint. However, given Ryan's deteriorated mental state at the time of the incident, with him perceiving the other soldier as the long-dead Lieutenant David Cameron, the first soldier was likely part of his schizophrenia-induced delusions. (Enigma) •Additionally, a picture of the unnamed Marine driver who accompanied Colonel Ryan during his mission to escort the money was shown; this individual's death took place three weeks before Gibbs' pursuit of Ryan. They were likely killed by men under the command of Major Mike Granger. After a mention of their death and a briefly-shown image of their burned corpse, this driver was not brought up again. (Enigma)

    Season 2

•The pictures of several of Chaplain Brett Evans' victims are seen in his scrapbook. These victims, aside from Carolyn Figgus, are not named or otherwise identified. Whether their remains were located or recovered is unknown. (The Good Wives Club) •The finger bone found on the Quantico firing range belonged to an unidentified Mafia victim from prior to 1986. (The Bone Yard) •Lieutenant Commander Michaela Shields was targeted by al Qaeda due to having unintentionally killed ten civilians while serving as a pilot. In addition, Shields' dog Fluffy was killed during the first assassination attempt on her, when Roland Alan Moore planted a bomb on her minivan. (Terminal Leave) •An unidentified body was partially autopsied by Ducky in front of Moore to intimidate him while he was in custody for attempting to assassinate Commander Shields. (Terminal Leave) •Ernest Yost's wife Dorothy Yost passed away of natural causes shortly before the NCIS investigation into the death of her former partner, Corporal Wade Kean. Her death and the subsequent isolation exacerbated Ernest's anxieties about Kean's death. (Call of Silence) •"Jeremy Davison" and "Michelle" killed five unnamed victims prior to the former's attempted assault of Laura Rowans. (Forced Entry) •Three murders in the Seattle area-- namely those of Branco Mendoza, Enrique Mendoza and Manfred Hugo-- were falsely attributed to Billy Collins/Lane Harrison; their names can be seen on Collins' rap sheet. In reality, these murders were committed by Jeffrey White. (Chained) •The remains of a Mr. Goldberg were seen in a coffin while NCIS agents searched the Hanlan family funeral parlor. His passing resemblance to the missing Dr. Mallard gave the agents a start; after inspecting under the man's corpse, they were satisfied that Mallard was not hidden in the coffin. Mary Hanlan sardonically noted that she would be sure to inform the Goldbergs, a family of litigators, that their grandfather was "frisked in his coffin." (The Meat Puzzle) •The remains of an unnamed car crash victim were utilized to fake the death of Vincent Hanlan. (The Meat Puzzle) •Two unsolved murders-- the shooting deaths of the rich Carole Ann VanBuren and union rep Thomas Roy Bowers-- were linked to a firearm owned by Keith Dillon, a SEAL washout moonlighting as a hitman. (Witness) •Shortly before the murder of Manda King, Ducky performed an autopsy on an unidentified corpse. (Pop Life) •Will died in a car accident in 2001 after leaving his girlfriend, Sarah Lowell, tied to the bed as a joke while he left for food. Lowell subsequently claimed that she had been raped after her discovery, only revealing the truth after a bioterror attack by her mother to resolve what the elder Lowell believed was a coverup by NCIS. (S.W.A.K.)

    Season 3

•An unknown number of terrorists were killed during a joint operation between the Navy, NCIS and Mossad, as briefly seen during Gibbs' hunt for Ari Haswari. (Kill Ari Part 1) •Ziva David revealed to Anthony DiNozzo that her sister Tali had been killed in a Hamas suicide bombing when they were children. (Kill Ari Part 1) •Kyle Boone was believed to have killed at least twenty-seven women prior to his incarceration, based his hidden "scrapbook." Nine of their tongues were found in his "souvenir" jar shortly before NCIS again became involved in the case. Boone confessed to twenty-two of these killings. The remainder were killed by Boone's accomplice and lawyer, Adam O'Neill. (Mind Games) •Kyle Boone was executed by the government of Virgina the day after O'Neill failed to kill Agent Paula Cassidy and was himself killed in self-defense. (Mind Games) •Jean-Paul Ranier and Sophie Ranier were involved in the assassinations of twenty-five people before their deaths in a car accident; Anthony DiNozzo and Ziva David assumed their identities shortly thereafter as part of an undercover operation. (Under Covers) •A man who was convicted due to investigation by Agent Anthony DiNozzo was noted to have died in prison. The man's first name was Mohammed, and though his full name and picture were added to a wall of potential suspects for DiNozzo's frameup, his last name was unreadable. (Frame-up) •Five bodies, alongside that of murder victim and former accomplice Martin Broussard were discovered in a warehouse belonging to the Epsilon Corporation, in reality a front for lawyer Sean Oliver and LCDR Kyle Ross in their operation to harvest body parts from corpses. It is not known if any of the victims of this operation other than Broussard were murdered, or if any of the bodies were not obtained through Bethesda Naval Hospital and other hospitals. It is also unknown how many other bodies were harvested by the operation with their parts dispersed beyond discovery prior to the operation's conclusion. (Head Case) •Dr. Mallard performed an autopsy on a man's corpse for a class of NCIS probationary agents, doing so for demonstrational and educational purposes. It is unknown how or when this individual died. (Ravenous) •Serial killer James Landis, a park ranger at Shenandoah Park, professed to having killed twenty-six victims prior to his discovery by NCIS. It is unknown if he included his male victims in his tally, or if he was inflating it. His named victims included Sharon Braddock, Bethany Wilson, and Tracy Roberts; he also murdered the male partners of Braddock and Wilson. (Ravenous)

    Season 1

•The death of Lieutenant Loren Singer took place in a two-parter (Ice Queen/Meltdown) of the procedural JAG which served as a backdoor pilot for NCIS and introduced several of the lead characters of the latter show. As a result, this duology could be considered 'Episode 0' of NCIS. •In Missing, Gunnery Sergeant Bill Atlas is shown to be chained up alongside a set of human remains. These almost certainly belong to one of his missing squadmates (apart from Mark Cohen, whose remains were recovered a year prior); who exactly they belong to, however, remains unknown. •The death of the HRT agent in Bête Noire was only mentioned in dialogue at the conclusion of the episode itself and briefly by Fornell in Reveille.

    Season 2

•Due to the timespan involved, with a victim dating back to before 1986, it is extremely likely that other victims of Jimmy Napolitano's Mafia family were buried on the Quantico firing range. Before the amount of time the range was in use as a dumping ground was known, Caitlin Todd speculate that there may have been thirty or more; this number would have only gone up following the revelation of the timespan involved. Considering their close ties to the inciting case, the FBI likely took jurisdiction on solving these cases. (The Bone Yard) •The circumstances of Michael Grant's death, namely his abduction and murder while hiking the Appalachian Trail, are likely a reference to the unsolved murder of Manson family lawyer Ronald Hughes, whose disappearance while on a camping trip during a hiatus in the Tate-LaBianca trial has generated significant attention. Grant was murdered on behalf of the bruised egos of those he had prosecuted; similarly, Hughes was alleged even by members of the Manson family to have been murdered in retaliation for his claims that members of the family were influenced by Manson and not acting independently. (The Meat Puzzle)

    Season 3

•The names of the three dead La Vida Mala members found alongside First Sergeant Ryan Downing were not mentioned aloud, but were briefly visible on a screen that displayed their identities and rap sheets. (Iced)
