Nov 1, 2023 · Sitting down on the steps and just people watching are a few things to do in Times Square with toddlers and teens. You can bring your newborn’s all the way to your 18-year-olds to this famous spot for some cheap family-fun.
One of the best things to do in Times Square is unleashing your inner child in Hershey’s Chocolate World. Enjoy delicious, warm treats like s’mores, cookies and cupcakes or delectable frozen goods like a Reese’s Peanut Butter Milkshakes. This is one of the best attractions in Times Square, especially if you have kids.
- Go to a Broadway Show. A visit to New York City isn’t complete without taking in at least one Broadway show. With over 40 theaters, it’s easy to find a show to fit your mood and budget.
- Soar Over NYC at RiseNY. The newest family-friendly attraction in NYC is RiseNY. The popularity of Disney’s Soarin’ theme park rides has inspired clones at popular tourist destinations.

- Tour Broadway Up Close. Broadway Up Close offers six different theater district walking tours, including one that explores the rich history of New York’s performing arts that could excite a kid with acting dreams.
- Browse Midtown Comics. Initially, I was hesitant to enter this shop with my preschooler, but we were welcomed by all, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
- Hit Up the Local Playgrounds. Believe it or not, there are a handful of playgrounds near Times Square. One favorite is on 42nd Street between 11th and 12th Avenues, where you'll find a play structure called Playground designed by artist Tom Otterness.

M&M's World, at 48th Street, is a chocolate lovers' paradise, with M&M's furniture, a 17-foot-tall Miss Green M&M’s Statue of Liberty, and plenty of candy.
