As of the 2020 census, the population was 1,043,433, making it Arizona's second-most populous county. The county seat is Tucson, where most of the population is centered.

Jul 7, 2021 · In Pima County in 1886, T.C. Kirkwood, then superintendent of the Board of Home Missions of the Presbyterian Church, asked the Tucson Common Council for land near where the University of Arizona would be built. The Board purchased 42 acres of land on the Santa Cruz River and opened the new school in 1888.

Pima is a town in Graham County, Arizona, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population of the town was 2,387, up from 1,989 in 2000. The estimated population in 2018 was 2,512. Pima is part of the Safford Micropolitan Statistical Area. Despite its name, it is not located in nearby Pima County.
