Jul 4, 2023 · Does anyone know up to what point Randy California of Spirit played a Danelectro U56? guitar This was the guitar he used when playing with Hendrix and early on in Spirit, but not clear when he switched to Fender / Gibson. Incidentally, a Danelectro was also one of Hendrix' first guitars. Thanks.

  4. Guitarist Randy California of Spirit was one of my guitar idols. As a seventh and eighth grader, and then later as a high school and college age kid, I actually really tried to play in a “style” as he did. I even had a Danelectro Silvertone and a Boss Tone. He was one of the greatest players ever as far as I was concerned.
