Bio – Ric Menello. Richard “Ric” Menello was born on August 20, 1952, in Queens, New York, to Rocco Menello, a truck driver and business owner, and Lucille Giordano Menello, a housewife and former art teacher. Ric grew up and was raised in Brooklyn, New York.

Mar 1, 2015 · Rebuttal to Richard Brody. In March 2013, shortly after Ric Menellos’ death, writer, Richard Brody, published two articles in The New Yorker about Ric. Brody’s source for the first piece was James Gray, who co-wrote two films with Mr. Menello.
Ric’s life was well documented by a wide assortment of photographs starting in his early childhood. The photos create their own vivid timeline that amply demonstrate Ric’s joyous zest for life, cinema and of course food.
