In 1850 in the Oregon Territory, provincial farmer Adam Pontipee goes to town to trade supplies and find a wife. When he meets strong, hardworking Milly, who works in a bar, he proposes to her. Milly falls for Adam, they marry, and she expects that they will have their own little nest for two.
