Sound of My Voice (2011) ending theory (SPOILERS) FanTheory. So old movie but my theory is that Klaus is some sort of pimp or the real leader of the cult and that Maggie was groomed by him after he picked her up. Explanations/Details: Maggie was found off the streets and on drugs with memory and immune system problems, until Klaus picked her up.
So I just finished watching "Sound of My Voice." Brit Marling was incredible and captivating as the cult leader Maggie, as were the leads of Peter and Lorna. I love thoughtful ambiguous dramas like this. The scenes were tightly edited and tense, with an ending that spurs questions and conversation. Can anyone recommend more films like it?

The ending was interesting. Like Martha Marcie May Marlene, it turns the conclusion on its head in an ambiguous way. (Although the ambiguity at the end of MMMM is up for debate.) So, a few questions for r/truefilm: Do you think that last-second ambiguity made SOMV a better movie?
