In 1992, South Miami became a 'Middle School' and in 2002 the school received a new 'building' to assist with the student enrollment. Today, South Miami Middle School is proud to serve a diverse community offering eight specialized visual and performing arts magnet programs.
All computer and fine arts magnet instruction are delivered by professional artist/teachers in fully equipped studios. Individualized programs, high student achievement levels, and warm nurturing environment, make South Miami K-8 Center a VERY SPECIAL PLACE! All middle school age students have two electives.
