The first season premiered on May 4, 2021, and ran for 16 episodes until August 13. A 16-episode second season was released from January 4 to March 29, 2023, and a 15-episode third and final season was released from February 21 to May 1, 2024. The series has received positive reviews from critics, particularly for its animation and voice acting.

- The Phantom Menace. Release date: May 19, 1999. Cast: Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman. If you want to watch all the Star Wars movies in chronological order then sadly your marathon starts with the very first (and pretty awful) prequel movie.
- Attack of the Clones. Release date: May 16, 2002. Cast: Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen. A few years later, Anakin is training as a Padawan under Obi-Wan Kenobi when the now Senator Padmé Amidala’s life is threatened once again.
- Revenge of the Sith. Release date: May 19, 2005. Cast: Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen. After Anakin rescues him, Chancellor Palpatine appoints him to the Jedi Council, but the Jedi are suspicious and order Anakin to spy on Palpatine.
- A New Hope. Release date: May 25, 1977. Cast: Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher. Not long after, Darth Vader captures Princess Leia, but not before she hides the plans in an R2-D2 droid who escapes to the planet Tatooine in search of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

- A New Hope (1977) The one that started it all. Initially released as Star Wars, it would receive the addition of A New Hope in subsequent re-releases.
- Star Wars Holiday Special (1978) George Lucas’ first foray into small-screen Star Wars. This never-to-be-repeated, 100-minute extravaganza sees all the main cast reprising their roles; however, it’s safe to say the Holiday Special did not live up to its predecessor and Lucas wisely vaulted it.
- The Empire Strikes Back (1980) The sequel that proves Lucas’ vision was no fluke. Rather than simply revisiting the formula and giving audiences “Star Wars 2,” the director was canny enough to go with the classic trilogy structure — leaving our heroes in disarray at the movie’s denouement.
- Return of the Jedi (1983) Lucas closed the original trilogy with a pleasing box office finale. With no word on further episodes (other than the odd interview quote), it seemed that the global sensation that was Star Wars had come to an end.
