Meet Tom and Sydnee Watson, 2024 Parade Marshals. Tom and Sydnee Watson have deep roots in the Walla Walla Valley. Sydnee comes from a family of Italian immigrants who farmed mostly sweet onions while Tom’s family of Irish immigrants were also ranchers and farmers. Growing up, Tom worked for Pepsi and delivered their products all over the valley.
Tom is a 3rd generation Walla Walla native. After pursuing his corporate retail aspirations, Tom moved back to his roots in 2005 to pursue a life-long passion, owning and operating a restaurant. Inspired by his mother’s kitchen imbued with their Italian heritage, he opened T.Maccarone’s, his first restaurant in downtown Walla Walla.
