But both Grange and Derek St. Holmes (2nd guitarist, lead vocalist on "Strangehold", "Hey Baby" and others) quit after a while, mainly because of Ted's inability to share the spotlight or show appreciation.

The "Stranglehold" bass is a very light weighing bass, ash wood, all dried out and old. It has a good ring to it and sustains well.
