Jul 7, 2019 · The Lower Yosemite Falls Trail takes visitors right up to the base of the bottom portion of the falls which is 320 feet. The trail leading up to the base offers people an incredible view of both upper and lower Yosemite Falls along the way to the viewing footbridge.

Spring and early summer are the best times, as the waterfall can go dry as early as late July. Leashed pets are allowed and the trail is wheelchair accessible.
Directions to Lower Yosemite Fall Trai l: The trailhead is conveniently located near Yosemite Valley Lodge, in the heart of Yosemite Valley. For those arriving by car, parking is available in the Yosemite Valley Lodge parking lot, though it can fill up quickly during peak tourist seasons.

Take the free park shuttle to stop number 6, which is the trailhead for Lower Yosemite Fall Trail. To get to the trail on foot from the park visitor center, follow the well-marked bike path across Yosemite Village.
