Bollea is the son of Alan Bollea, brother of professional wrestler Terry Bollea better known as Hulk Hogan, making him Hogan's nephew. Bollea's parents separated when he was a child. In 1986, his mother, Martha Alfonso, was murdered by her boyfriend, and his father died of a drug overdose. Bollea has two sisters.
