Sacred Heart Parish (Polish: Parafia Najświętszego Serca Pana Jezusa w New Britain) - designated for Polish immigrants in New Britain, Connecticut, United States. Founded on August 10, 1894. It is one of the oldest Polish-American Roman Catholic parishes in New England in the Archdiocese of Hartford .
On January 26 of that year, Fr. John Balasa was appointed to the position of the pastor of the Sacred Heart Parish. He as born in in Meriden, CT in 1902. Fr. Balasa tried following in the footsteps of his predecessor. A few months after he arrived at the parish, he built a new rectory, and five years later, a new convent.

May 13, 2012 · Originally named St. Casimir the King, its name was changed in 1896 to the Sacred Heart of Jesus parish. The first church was built Polish immigrants in New Britain first formed a congregation in 1894 as a mission of St. Stanislaus parish in Meriden.
