One of the earliest photographic plates from Roentgen's experiments was a film of his wife, Bertha's hand with a ring, produced on Friday, November 8, 1895. To test his observations and enhance his scientific data, Roentgen plunged into seven weeks of meticulous planned and executed experiments.
Description. The hand is possibly the hand of Röntgen's wife, photographed on 22nd December 1895. The print is from one of the first radiographs (x-ray photographs) made by the German physicist, Wilhelm Konrad Röntgen (1845-1923).
