The dynamic Puerto Rican actress, dancer, and singer Rita Moreno was the first performer to win all four premier entertainment awards, for film (Oscar), theater (Tony), television (Emmy), and recording (Grammy). After making her first public appearance as a child in Greenwich Village, she appeared on Broadway in the play Skydrift at age 13. She went on to earn many movie roles, winning an Oscar for her electrifying performance in West Side Story (1961), and gave a Tony-winning performance in Broadway's The Ritz (1975). In the '90s, her hectic schedule also involved TV, cabaret, and a 42-city tour with Carol Channing in Two Ladies of Broadway.
