By the summer of 2023, we should see 10 A340-600s flying once again, out of both Frankfurt and Munich. While these aren’t the most modern planes in Lufthansa’s fleet, they feature first class, and it’s generally a fun plane for avgeeks.

  6. Apr 7, 2024 · An Edelweiss Airbus A340 had a pretty dramatic takeoff from Zurich on Saturday. The jet rotated and became airborne, but then started losing altitude shortly after takeoff. The plane finally gained altitude again just shortly before the end of the runway, in an incident that makes for quite a sight.
