ASL104C - American Sign Language for Beginners This course will introduce students to basic knowledge and skills of American Sign Language. Students will achieve the beginning levels of fluency in communicating through the use of ASL.
In this course, students are introduced to the fundamentals of American Sign Language (ASL) and Deaf Culture. Students develop both expressive and receptive signing skills, beginning with fingerspelling and numbers, then continuing with basic vocabulary.
Jun 3, 2024 · Details. I'm pleased to confirm that we have scheduled Alicia Van Cleve and Victoria Mitchell to teach us ASL basics for 4 weeks on Mondays in June! Sessions will be 11am-12pm. Due to room availability, we'll be in PNI A32 for June 3 and 10, and we'll be in PSH 101 for June 17 and 24. All are welcome to join from both Psych and PNI.
