If you opted to trade in your iPad when you purchased an Apple product, you'll receive a trade-in kit with everything you need to return your iPad to Apple. If you're in the Asia-Pacific region, a trade-in kit will be delivered to you or available at a designated location.
Customers in the Asia-Pacific region, only follow steps in the Before you return your iPad and Return your iPad sections.
1.Back up your iPad.
2.You must remove your iPad from your Apple ID device list before you ship it.
3.To protect your data, erase your iPad.
4.Switch the SIM card from your old iPad to your new iPad if it uses one.
Important: You must initiate a separate trade-in for each product that you want to trade in and pack each trade-in product in a separate box. More information about how to trade in or recycle your Apple product is available online.
If you're in the Asia-Pacific region, continue to the Return your iPad to Apple section for your country or region.
1.Remove the cardboard insert from the box. Unfold all the flaps to loosen the plastic sleeve attached to the cardboard insert.
2.Center your device inside the plastic sleeve face down.
3.Fold the side flaps back down to tighten the plastic sleeve around your device.
4.Fold the end flaps back up so that the insert will fit back into the box.

1.Find the name of the courier on the return shipping label. 2.Visit the courier’s website to find a drop-off location. -FedEx -UPS 3.Get a receipt from the courier. 4.Check your new device shipment email for a link to check the status of your trade-in.

1.Choose a scheduled pick-up or drop-off at designated locations. If you choose pick-up, a trade-in kit will be delivered to you before courier collection.
