    • ‘The Good Wife’ Debuting on CBS a few months before the start of the decade, The Good Wife neatly bridged the gap between TV’s past and its future. Structurally, the show — starring Julianna Margulies as Alicia Florrick, disgraced wife of a disgraced politician, forced to finally make use of her law degree to pay the bills — was a traditional broadcast network legal drama, where cases were introduced and resolved over the course of an hour.

    • Atlanta (2016-present) All it took was a glowing box of J.R. Crickets’ lemon pepper wet wings to encapsulate the essence of Donald Glover’s innovative series.
    • Parks And Recreation (2009-2015) Parks And Recreation might share qualities with comedies further down this list, particularly the other Mike Schur creations that ground their absurd plotlines in the chemistry of a quirky but deeply relatable core ensemble.
