That's my summary of Under the Dome. TLDR : The dome is there to protect and infest the living beings inside by aliens known as the kinship. Stuff happens, dome comes down, happy ending (with a slight cliff hanger).
It took me long to get into the book, and I came to enjoy the long rising climax, but the ending had no explanation for what could have been a multitude of endless possibilities. So many developing plots we're lost to an ending that seemed too rushed to be plausible.

SPOILER. Just finished 'Under the dome' . (WARNING SPOILERS) And I gotta say I really, really enjoyed this book. You could say I "devoured" it figuratively, not just because I'm a lifetime King fan, but also because the story of Chester's Mill really enchanted me. I really felt certain emotions of certain characters.
