The first series of KM banknotes in denominations of F 50, KM 1, KM 5 and KM 10 was issued on 22 June, 1998; KM 20, KM 50 and KM 100 denominations were issued on 27 July, 1998, and the banknote of KM 200 denomination was issued on 15 May 2002.
