CBS joined forces with MGM Home Entertainment until its departure in 1982 after MGM bought and merged with the near-bankrupt United Artists (UA) from Transamerica.
Later releases, such as Revenge of the Pink Panther (despite showing the print logo on the box and labels), use the first CBS/Fox Video logo. In addition, sometimes the reverse is true -- the 1984 CBS/Fox Video release of The Pink Panther Strikes Again has the CBS/Fox labeling, but has the old 20th Century Fox Video logo on the tape itself!
May 17, 2024 · The CBS/FOX logo, now in white, appears over the rings piece-by-piece, first with "CBS" and then "FOX". The trademark symbol also flashes for a bit as well. The entire thing fades out to make room for the whole CBS/FOX Video logo to rotate from the bottom left corner of the screen and settles into place.

It does not meet the threshold of originality needed for copyright protection, and is therefore in the public domain.
It also strangely appeared on some early '90s reprints of earlier CBS/Fox titles with CBS/Fox packaging and labels, including My Bodyguard and Short Circuit. It also appears on a reprint of A Boy Named Charlie Brown, despite featuring the Playhouse Video logo on the box and tape label.
The company was renamed 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment on March 16, 1995, after Fox Entertainment Group acquired CBS's interest in CBS/Fox. The reorganization also created additional distribution operations ( Fox Kids Video , CBS Video , and CBS/Fox Video) and two new media units, Fox Interactive and Magnet Interactive Studios.
