The Oregon Vital Records office, known as the Center for Health Statistics (CHS), is where to get certified copies of birth certificates, death certificates, and other vital records in Oregon.
Each vital event — birth, marriage, divorce, domestic partnership, dissolution of domestic partnership, death and fetal death — that occurs in Oregon is registered and stored with the state vital records ofice. Death certificates have been filed with the state vital records ofice since 1903. We file around 35,000 death certificates each year.
