Chen Shi-Zheng (Chinese: 陈士争; born 1963 in Changsha, Hunan, China) is a New York–based theater and film director. Having earned a BA from the Hunan Art School in Traditional Opera , he received his MA from New York University Tisch School of the Arts .

Commissioned by New York’s Lincoln Center for the play’s 400th anniversary, this 19-hour, three-day-long play was set to be the main attraction of the center’s summer season.
