Abby Mallard is the deuteragonist of Disney's 2005 animated feature film Chicken Little. She is a female duck (implied swan) with buckteeth, orange beak, orange feet, wearing a purple shirt with pink flower on it and two hairbands, which hold up her hair.
His only friends are other outcasts: Abby Mallard (nicknamed "Ugly Duckling"), Runt (a cowardly pig), and Fish Out of Water (who wears a helmet full of tap water). Chicken Little joins his school's baseball team to recover his reputation and his father's pride but is made last until the ninth inning of the last game.
Chicken Little and his band of misfit friends, Abby Mallard (a.k.a. Ugly Duckling), Runt of the Litter, and Fish Out of Water, attempt to save the world without sending the town into a whole new panic.

- Other Actresses Considered. Abby Mallard is voiced by comedienne Joan Cusack. However, she is not the only actress considered for the role. Other names who are called include Jodie Foster, Laura Dern, Sigourney Weaver, Geena Davis, Jamie Lee Curtis, Sarah Jessica Parker, Helen Hunt, and, on as a joke, Madonna.
