- Churchill College
The Chapel at Churchill College is ecumenical in nature and provides a locus for Christian worship in the College community. It can also be used as a place for quiet reflection, and plays host to Churchill College’s Inter Alios Choir. Members of the College are able to use the Chapel organ and grand piano.
These are located to one side of the College grounds, a short distance from the main buildings. The college's central buildings and chapel were Grade II listed in 1993. Chapel. At the farthest end of the college grounds is the chapel. Sheppard's original design placed it within the main building complex near the college main entrance.

Our campus extends over 42 acres, including expansive gardens and green spaces, as well as three libraries, sports and performing arts facilities all on site.
The Churchill chapel is a modern interpretation of a Byzantine basilica, a Greek cross marked out in concrete beams. The roof is of timber, with a central lantern. Externally, the dominant features are the four massive concrete members, deliberately over-scaled. The construction echoes the concrete-and-brick idiom of the College.
