About. Contemporary Art Matters was founded in 2017 by Rebecca Ibel as a private gallery combined with collector services. Rebecca Ibel has a BA in Art History from The American University of Paris. She began at Sotheby’s NY, worked in Berlin prior to returning to Columbus, where for 18 years, she ran the Rebecca Ibel Gallery.
