Dale M. Pollock is an award-winning teacher, writer and filmmaker. He is based in Winston-Salem, NC where he is a Professor of Cinema Studies and Producing at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
Henry Grillo has served as the dean of UNCSA's School of Filmmaking since 2019, and will retire at the end of the year. Featured photo: Dale Pollock, Henry Grillo's successor, was the dean from 1998-2006 and was recently retired this year until he decided to assume the duties until a permanent dean can be sought.
He later obtained a B.A. in Anthropology from Brandeis University and an M.S. in Communications from San Jose State University. Pollock is married to fiddle player Susie O'Keeffe Pollock. His children are Owen Pollock, Leo Pollock and Zoe Di Novi.
