Darin is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Virginia, and based in New York City. He is currently getting his BFA at the School of Visual Arts. His art practice involves photography, painting, printmaking and sculpture. Artists he admires are individuals like Jack Whitten, Radcliffe Bailey and Sam Gilliam. .

Having grown up in Virginia, he draws inspiration from the pillars that shaped his upbringing: “church, hip-hop, family, soul food, and the legacies of American slavery,” as he put it in an interview with Artsy.
