- Donald Sage (’00) York HS - Elmhurst. From the most decorated program in the state, Sage is by far it’s most decorated runner. He won only one state cross country title, but was twice runner-up to Torres.

Props to Merrick's high school coach, Joe Rodriguez, at Lincoln Way in Frankfort, IL. He turned out some other superb runners, but Merrick was a great guy and special talent.
