Jul 6, 2004 · A talking pig and a sympathetic gallery of outcast circus performers (including a young Benicio Del Toro as the Dog-Faced Boy) notwithstanding, Big Top squanders much of the first film's magic and goodwill. Blame it on the script, which places arrested adolescent Pee-Wee in a small town that is unaccountably hostile to him.

Mar 1, 2012 · Long before he was the Wolf Man, Benicio Del Toro was Duke the Dog-Faced Boy and had to play second fiddle to Pee-Wee Herman. Benicio’s film debut came in 1988 when he appeared in Big Top Pee-Wee, which told the story of a circus coming to a small town and seeking solace at Pee-Wee Herman’s farm.
With a cast of bizarre characters including the world's smallest woman, trapeze artists, clowns, and even "Duke the Dog-Faced Boy" (the first film role of Benicio Del Toro, seen below), Big Top Pee-Wee has plenty of charm to keep things entertaining.
