Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. (November 30, 1918 – May 2, 2014) was an American movie, television, stage, radio, and voice actor. He was known for his roles in the television series 77 Sunset Strip and The F.B.I.. He is also known for his role as "Dandy Jim Buckley" in the series Maverick.
Born in New York City on November 30, 1918, surrounded by people of wealth and privilege throughout his childhood, Efrem Zimbalist Jr. received a boarding school education. Acting in school plays, he later trained briefly at the Yale School of Drama but didn't apply himself enough and quit.
