Fausto Alarcón is the main antagonist of the 2015 crime thriller film Sicario. He is the head of the Sonoran drug cartel and the man responsible for murdering Alejandro Gillick's wife by decapitation and throwing Alejandro's daughter into a vat of acid.

He was portrayed by Julio Cesar Cedillo.

Fausto Alarcón was one of the cartel bosses who ordered the execution of the family of prosecutor Alejandro Gillick, the other being Carlos Reyes, an unseen antagonist in the franchise and possible overall antagonist. He was the superior of cartel manager Manuel Diaz.

Unfortunately for Alarcón, Alejandro, after losing his family, completely dedicated his life to the cause of exacting vengeance. The US government decided to sponsor Alejandro's mission of revenge, since it too had an interest in destroying the cartel. Alejandro was recruited into an American covert action unit and provided with training, weapons, tactical intelligence and other support. The Americans located Alarcón and orchestrated an elaborate operation to put Alejandro within striking distance of the cartel boss.

Guided by his patrons, a heavily armed Alejandro infiltrates Alarcón's home, killing many guards along the way. He then finds Alarcón eating dinner with his wife and two sons. Alejandro makes his presence known and sits down at the table. Alarcón asks Alejandro if the Mexican cartel is any different from the Colombian cartel that Alejandro is working for and whether his wife would be happy with the man he's become. Alejandro tells Alarcón to not forget about his daughter in which Alarcón slightly smiles and tells him it was nothing personal. Alejandro says "it was to me." and tells him it's "time to meet God." Alarcón accepts that he is about to die. However, to his horror, Alejandro shoots and kills Alarcón's family first, in order to make Alarcón experience the same torment that Alejandro did. Alejandro tells him, mockingly, to go ahead and finish his meal, but Alarcón is paralyzed by shock. He stares in disbelief for a few moments before Alejandro shoots Fausto in the throat. Alejandro watches him suffer before shooting him in the head, finally avenging his family.

In the sequel Sicario: Day of the Soldado, it is revealed that Alarcón acted under the command of Carlos Reyes, the leader of another Drug Cartel.
