    George Schenck (born February 12, 1942) is an American screenwriter who has written various episodes for NCIS with his writing partner, Frank Cardea.

    At the end of NCIS Season 9, both Scheneck and Cardea were promoted to Executive Producers.

    On November 4, 2016, Scheneck and Cardea were announced as the new co-showrunners for NCIS, replacing showrunner Gary Glasberg who had died suddenly in September 2016 with the two later stepping down as Steve D. Binder became the new showrunner.

    Schenck's final NCIS credit came in the NCIS Season 16 episode, Daughters (episode) where he was credited as an executive consultant.
