Gotham Writers Workshop, established in 1993, offers classes in creative writing and business writing, along with writing conferences and one-on-one services, including consults on publishing guidance with literary agents.
Fiction Writing I is a 10-week workshop, which includes lectures, exercises, and the critiquing of student projects. It’s for beginners or anyone who wants to brush up on the fundamentals. Farther down, you can view a syllabus for this course.
Gotham published Writing Fiction and Writing Movies, with each chapter focusing on an element of craft taught by a different Gotham teacher. We also published Fiction Gallery, an anthology of short stories by masters of the craft, which makes an ideal companion to Writing Fiction .
