Joseph Harry Anderson (August 11, 1906 – November 19, 1996) was an American illustrator and a member of the Illustrator's Hall of Fame. A devout Seventh-day Adventist artist, he is best known for Christian-themed illustrations he painted for the Adventist church and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church).
Joseph Harry Anderson (1906–1996) began his first commission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1963, toward the end of his long artistic career. His work for the LDS church includes nearly 30 paintings that have become iconic Latter-day Saint images.

Jan 31, 2013 · Harry Anderson became a Seventh-day Adventist in 1944, and during his lifetime he did around 300 paintings for the SDA Church — and one of his many paintings of Jesus was most recently featured on the May 9th, 2013 issue of THE ADVENTIST REVIEW Magazine (above).
