In campgrounds where wood is not available for sale by concession services, visitors may collect dead and down wood (smaller than 6" diameter) within 100 feet of campgrounds. Wood must be collected below 3,500 feet in elevation.
Heart O'the Hills Campground. Close to the popular Hurricane Ridge Trailhead and Visitors Station, the Heart O’ the Hills Campground is extremely popular, but still very private. In Heart O’ the Hills Campground one can camp amongst the giant trees in the old growth forest.
Heart O’the Hills campground has 105 single family campsites and is in the northern edge of Olympic National Park and set among a beautiful old growth forest where trees can tower 300 feet tall.
