- Learn How to Hold and Steady the Camera. It is easy to get frustrated when many of your photos turn out blurry. While photo clarity is a concept that every photographer is constantly improving, there are some simple tips you can provide for your child that will make a huge difference.
- Use Manual Settings (Not Auto) If you have an older child with a point-and-shoot or DSLR, have them resist the temptation to shoot in auto mode all the time and instead help them learn the manual modes.

How to take a picture. Go over any safety recommendations. For example, I encourage my kids to wear the wrist straps whenever they’re carrying their cameras to avoid lots of dropping.
