Jan 1, 2001 · I gave her my copy of this book to read that I read when I was about 10 or 11 years old. It's a very old copy now. She read the book in 2 days and said it was good. I decided to re-read this classic and be able to talk with her about the book. I remember this book as the 'period' book, but it's also quite a bit about religion.

- The characters in Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret are a combination of Blume and her friends at 12 years old. Out of all of her characters, Blume said that Margaret is one of the most autobiographical, along with Sally J. Friedman and Sheila Tubman.
