What may be a gimmick to a player, presumably like your good self, who wants to play solo Hammond, or plays it in a band and perhaps thinks that the B-3 is 'the' organ (no disrespect intended!) is a feature that made the organ more desirable to the home hobby organist, who proabbly needed a bit of help!
