Willemina ('Willemien', 'Wil') Jacoba van Gogh (Dutch pronunciation: [ʋɪlɦɛlˈminaː jaːˈkoːbaː ˈʋɪl vɑŋ ˈɣɔx]; 16 March 1862 – 17 May 1941) was a nurse, teacher of scripture, and early Dutch feminist. She is the youngest and best-known sister of artist Vincent van Gogh, to whom he was close, and the art dealer Theo van Gogh.
About Willemina Jacoba van Gogh. GEDCOM Note. Biography. Willemina was born in 1862. She was the daughter of Theodorus Van Gogh and Anna Carbentus. During the first part of her life Wil served as a nurse helping her family as well as others. In 1890 following the death of her brothers Wil obtained a modest job in a hospital.

Willemina Jacoba van Gogh (1862 - 1941) Of Vincent's three sisters, he was closest, by far, to Wil. During the last several years of his life, Vincent corresponded with Wil, though not as frequently or as voluminously as with Theo. Still, a number of Vincent's letters to Wil survive and provide interesting insights into his life.
