I always make this with cranberries but it could be made with almost any dried fruit. I adapted this recipe from a recipe in a mystery book by Joanne Fluke. This recipe can be doubled to make a 9 x 13 inch pan of cookies.

I love these cookies! They are sooo good & always come out perfectly done. Evryone I've ever made them for compliments them. (The only problem is it makes 10 dozen, althought I guess that could be a good thing....) I got this recipe from Joanne Fluke's book Peach Cobbler Murder.
    Irish Roast Beast
    Food.com
This is a recipe from Joanne Fluke's mystery "Sugar Cookie Murder." This pot roast is made with Guinness stout (what else?) and has directions for either making in the slow cooker or in the oven. Something different for St. Paddy's Day and the kids (and grown-ups) will get a kick out of the name. Don't forget to make your favorite "Irish Soda Bread" and serve with mashed potatoes and carrots. Enjoy!!

While on vacation this summer I enjoyed the book "Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder" by Joanne Fluke. Not only was the plot a fun read but the author interspersed some good recipes throughout the book. This is one of the recipes. I want to forward the book to my Zaar Used Media Swap partner today and I am posting the recipe here so I can try it later. The author did not indicate the serving size, prep time, etc. so I am guessing. I will update after I make the recipe. Prep time does not include cooling time.

The book has some delicious sounding cookie recipes which I am post here so I can make them later. The author does not indicate the serving size or prep time - I guessed & I apologize if I am wrong. I will correct when I make the recipe. If you make it before me, please post a review so we will know how good they are. One more note - the book was a fun read too.
