Justine Bateman (born February 19, 1966) is an American actress and filmmaker. Her acting work includes Family Ties, Satisfaction, Men Behaving Badly, The TV Set, Desperate Housewives, and Californication. Her feature film directorial debut, Violet, starring Olivia Munn, Luke Bracey, and Justin Theroux, premiered at the 2021 SXSW Film Festival.
Family Ties is a comedy drama series about a liberal ex-hippie family and their conservative son Alex. Justine Bateman plays Mallory, the ditzy and boy-crazy daughter, for 172 episodes from 1982 to 1989.
