The village of Orciatico is administratively part of Lajatico; the medieval hamlet sits about 8 kilometers away on a hill with lovely views of the cultivated countryside. A tiny village in Valdera perched on a hill and surrounded by fertile countryside, Lajatico is the birthplace of Andrea Bocelli, who every year organises a summer concert at the Teatro del Silenzio, a natural theatre built taking advantage of the conformation of the hills, about one kilometre from the village.
An 800-m trail suitable for everyone from Lajatico to the Teatro del Silenzio allows to admire one of the most beautiful views of Tuscany with “cypress avenues”.
